A Peaceful Warrior

This is my art show i had at Snow College, it is a show i did for one of my friends and her mother that died of cancer. The types of cancer are shown by the studies of body parts, the other pieces are of the children that she left behind.


This is my title of my show and also my artist statement that tells what the art pieces are about.

This is an up close of my title it was all hand made well all but the paper.

The title to this piece is "Mother of Hearts", is of the oldest daughter.

This is "A Study of a Heart" now she did not have heart cancer it was breast cancer i made it a heart because they used the word heart for breast.

The title of this one is "Thoughts" that is for her second oldest

This is "The Study of a Lung" the cancer slowly spared to her lungs.

This is "Mom's Teddy Bear" is of her oldest boy he has a big heart.

This is "The Study of a Spine" once the cancer got to her lungs it traveled to her spine.

This is "The All-Star" the youngest he loved to play softball and she loved to go watch.

This is "Study of a Brain" this is were the cancer stopped moving and her life; but even then when she know she was dieing it never effected her.

How it began

When i was younger i always liked to see art and how people can see one thing and make it into a totally different. I never thought that i would or could ever think like that but i guess i was wrong. I also had an in to the art world my father, witch is the best artist i know. Now i am not the best artist but i love to make art and so i just how people still love to see it.

I didn't do a lot of art classes in High School but i did doodle on every page that i had on my desk. So when i went to Snow College with my best friend i saw their art classes and decided to take one just to see if i could really make a life out of making art. I ended up taking as many classes i could there and i was living and even breathing art and loved it; so i decided that i could do it for a living but i was always told that art is not a good career left to right. I always had a back up plan to have a job and do art.
